PTFA Christmas Fayre 2018
What a wonderful evening! This year’s PTFA Christmas Fayre was very well attended and great fun for everybody. It raised an amazing £2871.46; more than ever before. The Year 6 games room had lots of new games in and the Year 6 helpers ensured that everyone had a good time, from the smallest to the biggest participant. As usual, Father Christmas in his grotto listened to the requests of the many children who went to see him, now they have just got to make sure that they will be on his ‘nice’ list. The barbeque kept hungry visitors supplied with giant Grasmere Farm hotdogs and burgers and the café did a roaring trade in tea and mince pies. The Baileys and mulled wine at the bar went down quite well too. There were some brilliant prizes on the raffle and happy customers went away with vouchers for restaurants, days out, hampers, toys, beauty treatments and toiletries galore. The jar hoopla was popular with the children, one child came away with seven jars of goodies. There were the usual assortment of tombolas-teddies, chocolate and pampering goods were snapped up by eager customers. We branched out into another classroom this year where you could find new craft and boutique items. The Lucky number board gave instant wins and hopefully Santa’s reindeer will enjoy the environmentally friendly reindeer food made on that stall. There were some fabulous new and pre loved toys on sale and Splat the Grinch was tricky to master but fun to play. These are just some of the activities that were available at the Christmas Fayre 2018. Thank you very much to everyone who helped in any way at all, from planning to donating, setting up, face painting, running a stall, coming along and spending money and helping to clear up at the end. We hope that you all enjoyed it and the best thing of all is that now the school has some extra money to spend on things that the school’s budget does not allow. If you enjoyed it and would like to help next time, please let one of the committee know or tell Mrs Welch in the office. Merry Christmas!
