St. George's School is a Church of England Voluntary Aided day school catering for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years of age.
The School Day
School begins at 9.00am for all pupils

| School ends | 3.25pm for Key Stage 1 (Infants) |

- Our children feel safe and well cared for and they really enjoy the lessons and the learning environment at St George’s School.
- Our new Head Teacher, Mrs Carol Dunlop is a skilled leader with a clear vision of how to take the school forward, and that a strong sense of team work is developing right across the school.
- The care in school is good and pupils thrive in the positive atmosphere that the school promotes.
- Specifically in Years 1 and 2 standards have improved in the past two years and girls in Year 2 achieved especially good results in 2006.
- The governing body is actively involved in school improvement and is holding the school to account.
In the recent Section 48 Inspection the school has been graded as OUTSTANDING for the partnership and wide ranging links that there are with St George’s
