Some highlights from the comments from the Ofsted report were:
- Our children feel safe and well cared for and they really enjoy the lessons and the learning environment at St George’s School.
- Our new Head Teacher, Mrs Carol Dunlop is a skilled leader with a clear vision of how to take the school forward, and that a strong sense of team work is developing right across the school.
- The care in school is good and pupils thrive in the positive atmosphere that the school promotes.
- Specifically in Years 1 and 2 standards have improved in the past two years and girls in Year 2 achieved especially good results in 2006.
- The governing body is actively involved in school improvement and is holding the school to account.
In the recent Section 48 Inspection the school has been graded as OUTSTANDING for the partnership and wide ranging links that there are with St George’s
